TEM, announced its Laos Induction Cookstove project – a first-of-its-kind for the region. The project has been named Top Project of the Year at the prestigious Environment + Energy Leader Awards. TEM was recognised in the Environmental Impact category of the awards, which celebrate exceptional advances made in the realms of environmental, sustainability, and energy management.

The induction cookstoves replaced traditional open-fired cooking methods, fuelled by timber, charcoal or gas, which not only reduces carbon emissions, but also reduces smoke inhalation, providing health benefits within the households who participated in the project, in particular, supporting the health outcomes of women and children.
